1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, registering, or using BisaDoctor ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and BisaDoctor, governed by the laws of Ghana.
2. Description of Service
BisaDoctor is a digital health platform that enables:
- Patients to track blood pressure, blood glucose, and manage medications
- Patients to connect with verified doctors for remote chronic care management
- Doctors to monitor patient vitals, set medication reminders, and communicate with patients
- Health record storage and management
BisaDoctor is a health management and communication tool. It does not replace in-person medical care, emergency services, or formal clinical diagnosis.
3. Eligibility
3.1 Patients
To use BisaDoctor as a patient, you must be at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent. You must provide accurate personal and health information.
3.2 Doctors
To register as a doctor on BisaDoctor, you must hold a valid medical licence issued by the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana. You must be invited by an existing verified doctor on the platform. You must complete the verification process and provide accurate professional credentials.
4. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must not share your account with any other person
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
5. Medical Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: BisaDoctor is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses or prescriptions.
- Health data recorded on the platform is for monitoring and communication purposes only
- Doctors using BisaDoctor provide general guidance and remote monitoring, not formal clinical consultations
- In case of a medical emergency, call Ghana's emergency services or visit the nearest hospital immediately
- Do not rely solely on BisaDoctor for critical medical decisions
- BisaDoctor is not liable for any health outcomes resulting from use or misuse of the platform
6. Subscription and Payments
6.1 Patient Subscriptions
Access to premium features requires a paid subscription. Subscription fees are displayed in the app and are subject to change with notice.
6.2 Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by Ghanaian consumer protection law.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading personal or health information
- Impersonate a medical professional without valid credentials
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data
- Share another user's health information without their consent
- Use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm any other user
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of BisaDoctor including but not limited to the software, design, text, and graphics are the exclusive property of BisaDoctor and are protected by Ghanaian and international intellectual property laws.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service. You may delete your account at any time through the Account settings. Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease, though certain data may be retained as required by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, BisaDoctor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ghana.
